Nepal Honey Hunting is one of the activities in Nepal that form part of the ancient culture of numerous civilizations. It is a real and frequent activity of indigenous people of Nepal. Some of villagers of Nepalese people are depend on Honey hunting for their livelihood, although the country is the home of APIS Laboriosa, which is the biggest honeybee on the planet. These bees construct their hives on the cliffs of the country, foothills etc. Due to the location of the bee hives, honey hunters show their exceptional skill by hanging themselves from cliffs as high as 300 meters using bamboo ladders and hemp ropes, while harvesting the honeycombs.

Accommodation

We will provide standard rooms at three star hotels or similar category hotel in Kathmandu, including breakfast on twin sharing basis. Lunch and Dinner will not be provided in Hotel. There are many restaurant outside of the hotel so for the Lunch and Dinner you can go best restaurants of your choice in the city with the different authentic cuisine.

Normally in mountain area there are no star hotels. During our honey hunting period we provide the stander mountain lodges which are available in the route. For two days in hunting period we will organize camping service where Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be provided by our camping cook. Out of Kathmandu all your meals will included in your packages.

Transportation

Transportation while on tour is provided by private vehicles with AC, using cars, jeeps, Landcruisers, mini buses, and coaches depending upon the group size. Driving along the winding mountain roads can be slow. Generally the driving speed limit in Nepal is 50 to 60 km/hour.

Travel Insurance

While traveling in the Himalaya you may suffer for the various health problems, injuries and other problems. Hence traveler have to prepare before upcoming destination is this mountain land. Make that the policy of the insurance company should cover the process of giving you the service of Helicopter rescue from the mountains in case of Altitude Sickness or other accidents during your trip.

Best Seasons

Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are the best season for honey hunting in Nepal. The weather is perfect in this season. The sunny day is outstanding for the clear mountain views.
